On a beautiful and unseasonably warm December day in Central Oregon, this winter styled wedding shoot unfolded-- soft light dappled through the tall pines and thoughtful details wove into the scenes to create a day that felt intimate, elevated, and quietly romantic.
I am so grateful to Makenna of Stringtied Planning & Rentals for dreaming up this day and including Covey Fields as the featured florist.

We were so lucky to have this day take place at Lake Creek Lodge in Camp Sherman just outside of Sisters, Oregon. A historic lodge, with darling cabins around a reflective pond, compete with fish jumping offered a timeless backdrop that highlighted the beauty of Central Oregon. Nick Raz Photography captured these images, forever preserving the warmth and intention of the day.
For this shoot, I was inspired to create florals that felt luxurious yet wild, full of texture, movement, and seasonal depth. I designed the arrangements using an elevated winter palette of rich burgundy tones and soft creams, allowing the florals to feel dramatic without overpowering the landscape.

Trailing jasmine vine and lush ferns added a sense of movement and organic flow, blending seamlessly into the surrounding forest. Statement blooms like cymbidium orchids, butterfly ranunculus, hellebores and garden roses brought a refined softness and layered elegance to the overall design.

Although locally grown flowers are at the core of my work, winter availability made that impossible for this shoot. I embraced the season by thoughtfully selecting blooms that supported the setting and design vision. When antique hydrangeas weren’t available, I found an unexpected opportunity to incorporate dried hydrangeas I had grown myself—adding texture, depth, and a quiet nod back to the garden. Finding creative ways to bring locally grown flowers into the design, even in winter, is something I deeply value.

In tandem with Stringtied Planning and Rentals, we created a tablescape that felt romantic and timeless, yet distinctly rooted in place. Vintage brass candlesticks lined the table, paired with seasonal fruit—pears, pomegranates, and grapes—to add richness, warmth, and an old-world feel that complemented the winter palette beautifully.

Hair styling for our model was led by Hair by Kaylene, creating a soft, romantic look that complemented the winter editorial perfectly. The featured wedding gown was provided by Bella Brides, bringing timeless bridal elegance to the shoot.

The genuine connection between our models, Jessie and Kyle, brought the entire vision to life as they celebrated their 10-year anniversary in the most meaningful way.

The couple and crew couldn't leave without venturing inside. Nestled inside Lake Creek Lodge is HOST Supper Club. HOST offers an intimate, chef-driven dining experience rooted in seasonality and craft. I was blown away by the thoughtfully curated menu and beautifully balanced cocktails-- it is definitely a hidden gem in the Central Oregon dining scene that I will be returning to!

Rather than defining winter by snow and cold, this shoot embraced what the day offered. The warmth became part of the story—an invitation to think beyond expectations and design weddings that respond to the moment, the place, and the feeling couples want to create.
